The US Government and our Economy

I relise that this can be and will be read by people all over the world, and thus the #@$%#@$%#@$%le. Being American, naturaly I am very interested in what happens in America. Unfortunatly and sometimes Fortunatly, what happens in America can and does effect the entire world. America is a world power and world leader and thus has a great responcibiltiy to do what is right.

The US of A used to be on teh gold standard but no longer is. What does the gold standard actualy mean? It is a very simple ideal, you only print enough money to cover the amount of Gold you have in reserve. The reason is even more simple, ... paper money is much more easy to carry around, and to transfer than big heavy gold is. This is the normal and accepted standard world wide. Now the US is off of the gold standard, but we are expected (and rightfully so) to more or less stay with in the gold standard guide lines... to NOT print more money than the amount of gold you have to back it up. If, for example you were to have only (lets use simple numbers for this example) $1000 worth of gold, you should only print $1000 money more or less... If by chance you print $2000 in money, each one dollar will be only worth in reality .50 cents !!!! Makes sence dont it? And this would be a horrable thing for the American people, if our money starts to be worth less and less in the world economy... you will receive half as much for your printed money ...
